Hindi Olympiad
Poorvi Gupta of class III participated in Hindi Olympiad organized by Hindi Olympiad Foundation and secured the first rank at Regional as well as international level. Hindi Olympiad is conducted to evaluate students’ proficiency in Hindi language. Spellings, grammar and other language skills of the participants are tested through this exam. Poorvi scored cent percent marks in the Olympiad. Her keen interest in Hindi language and hard work bore fruits and earned accolades and laurels for her family and school. On 15th October 2019, Niti Aayog, Government of India, in collaboration with Hindi Vikas Manch, New Delhi awarded Khushi Pruthi of Sachdeva Public School, Pitampura with Jyankunj Award for scoring 100 marks in Hindi subject in the academic session 2018-2019. In this ceremony, the Hindi teacher, Mrs. Sunita Devi Sharma, was also honoured with ‘Bhasha Sarthi Samman’ for excellent teaching practices. The Chief Guest of the ceremony was Mr. Anurag Tripathi, Chief Secretary, CBSE, who gave his blessings for the bright future to all teachers and learners.

2018 Junior NBA World BasketBall Championships
Arpit Singla of XE and Laivish Vats of XF won the RF Jr. NBA National Championship and have qualified for the 2018 Junior NBA World BasketBall Championships. Both the boys are representing the nation as well as the school in the championship being held from 7th August 2018 to 12th August 2018 in Orlando, Florida, USA. They will be competing against Jr. NBA teams from Asia, Europe, Mexico, Brazil, Africa and USA. The school is proud of their achievement and congratulates them.

Madhur Gupta, student of Class IX, participated in the French Olympiad 2017-2018 and secured the First Position in the Advance Category of the National Level Examination. The Girls Basketball Team (Under 17) aced the CBSE Basket Ball Tournament Cluster 20 organised at S.D. Public School and secured the First Position. 64 schools, in all, participated in the tournament and the school team has qualified to participate in the C.B.S.E. National Basketball Championship to be held in November, 2017. Arjuna Awardee Prashanti Singh was the Chief Guest and gave the trophy and certificates to the winners. Chetna Alagh and Akanksha Gupta represented Delhi state in 32nd youth national basketball championship held at Bhavnagar (Gujarat) from 14th to 20th September 2015. Divya Dhawan of class XII and Himanshi chawla of class XI represented Delhi State in 66th Junior National BasketBall Championship held at Ludhiana from 1st October-9th October 2015

Science Projects bring laurels at Zonal Level
Every great advance in science has issued from a new audacity of imagination – John Dewey
It is a constant endeavour at Sachdeva Public School, Pitam Pura to develop the scientific temper and creativity of our students. The school participated at the Zonal Level Science Exhibition organized by the Science Centre, Department of Education, Delhi. The three entries which were sent for the competition were appreciated for their innovative ideas and scientific approach. The judges selected all the three entries for the next Centre level exhibition. The exhibits were:-
* ‘Eco friendly Woodwool Slabs’ prepared by Rhea Bhasin and Kirti Biyani of Class XI.
* ‘Organic Allout’ (Mosquito Repellents) by Anshika Mittal and Manokamna Sharma of Class IX.
* ‘Magnetic Revolution in Agriculture’ by Megha Singhal and Prerna Parmar of Class VIII.
The school Principal Mrs. Mona Rastogi applauded the efforts of the students and motivated them for their future endeavours.

Itihaas Anveshan – 2015 ‘In Verse, phir se…….!’
The students of classes III – V brought laurels to school by winning the ‘Best Research Work – Runner’s up’ trophy at the National level.
The children participated in an All India competitive event – ‘In Verse, phir se…….!’ organized by an educational trust – Itihaas. They prepared an informative document based on their intensive research on ‘Harvest Festivals of India’ and composed a song. The lyrics were based on festivals, rituals, ceremonies – the science behind the traditions and a few intriguing legends.
The singing competition took place at two levels. The audience was overwhelmed by the stupendous performance at the Zonal level. The students performed exceedingly well at the Finals and won a trophy in the category ‘Best Research Work’.

14th SOF National Cyber Olympiad 2015 organized by Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF)
Ronak Sakhuja of class XII-B got an International Rank of 107 and Zonal Rank of 20 in the National Cyber Olympiad. He was awarded a merit certificate and a gift certificate worth Rs. 1000.
Dhruv Chawla of class VIII-B got an International Rank of 193 and Zonal Rank 16. He was awarded gifts worth Rs. 1000 consisting of foundation course of class VIII- Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics and also got a merit certificate.

Zonal Level CBSE Exhibition
Kirti Sharma and Ishaan Gupta of Class IX prepared a research based project on Bioplastics. They exhibited their project at Zonal Level CBSE Exhibition.There were awarded a certificate and a trophy and were also selected for the central level. The students tested the tensile strength of plastics and recorded their observations.It was very informative and a good learning experience for them.

Chess Competition
Dheriya Lamba of class IIIrd won 4th position in U-9 category at State Level Chess Competition at Dhyan Chand Stadium, 6th position in Open category at 6th Open Chess Championship at Institute of Technology and Science and 4th position in U-8 category at Delhi Open chess Tournament at Dhyan Chand Stadium and won a trophy and Rs.800 cash.

Painting Competition
Alankriti Garg of Class VIII won the consolation prize in the painting competition held at State Level Under National Campaign on Energy Conservation organized by Power Finance Corporation Ltd. She received a cash prize of Rs 3500/- along with a trophy,certificate and a gift hamper.
Alankriti Garg of Class VIII was one of the 18 winners of an All India ‘Hauslon ki Udaan’ Drawing Competition held in Mumbai.She represented Delhi in the episode of the serial telecasted on Colours channel on 15 Nov.

Energy Conservation
Dhwani Bhasin of Class V participated in poster making competition on Energy Conservation. Her poster was selected at the school level and she qualified for the painting competition at the state level. She received a trophy and a cash prize of Rs.1000/- at the state level.

Story Writing Competition
Jay Bansal of Class X had participated in the Story Writing Competition organized by KIIT International School at All India Level. Jay Bansal’s story was selected and he was invited at KIIT School, Bhubneswar to attend the Children’s Literary Festival. He met Ruskin Bond, the eminent English Author and interacted with him.It was a great experience for him.

The students of classes III-V, brought laurels to school by winning the ‘Runners up’ trophy at the National Level.
The Children participated in organised by an educational trust- Itihaas heritage event- ‘In verse-2014’.They prepared an informative document based on their intensive research on ‘Red Fort’ and composed a song.The lyrics were based on facts and anecdotes about the magnificent and iconic Red Fort.
The singing competition took place at two levels.The audience was overwhelmed by the stupendous performance at the zonals and qualified for the National level. They performed exceedingly well at the finals and won a trophy in the category ‘Song of the year’.

Winners of Victorian Sports Carnival Basket Ball Tournaments
The Girls Basketball Team of the School defeated Montfort School, Ashok Vihar by 33 – 31 in the final of Victorian Sports Carnival Basketball Tournament organized by National Victor School, I.P. Extension, Sakshi Takyar, Divya Dhawan and Rakshita Gupta brought laurels by scoring maximum baskets for the winning team. Rakshita Gupta was adjudged the best player of the match.

Sub-junior girls Basket Ball team of Sachdeva Public School, Pitam Pura secured second position in the 1st Brother John Memorial Invitational Basket Ball Tournament held at Montfort School, Ashok Vihar. In Modern the final, Montfort School won the tournament. Sub-Junior Girls team reached in the final by defeating School, Barakhamba Road and D.P.S., R.K. Puram in the quarter and semi-final matches respectively. Kritika Dhingra was adjudged the best player of the tournament.
