Empowerment Through Self-Defence

To help girls and women safeguard themselves against violence, a self-defence workshop focusing on the 3 A's—Awareness, Assessment, and Action—is a key necessity.This approach empowers female students by teaching them to recognize threats, evaluate situations, and take appropriate action for their safety.
In view of this, a self-defence four days workshop titled ‘Empowerment Through Self-Defence’ was recently held for school girls in classes 3 to 12. The workshop aimed to equip the girls with essential self-defence skills and boost their confidence.
The session began with an introduction to self-defence and its importance, followed by lessons on basic safety rules and awareness. The girls learned simple self-defence techniques, such as escaping grabs and blocking attacks.To make learning engaging, the workshop included interactive games and real-life scenario training to practise responding to situations like harassment or bullying.
Instructors from the Special Delhi Police unit for Women and Children led the workshop, ensuring the training was practical and effective. The event was well-received, leaving the participants empowered and more confident in their ability to protect themselves.

The models showcased innovative methods for repurposing everyday waste into functional items, underscoring the practical aspects of sustainability. The art and craft section displayed exquisite pieces crafted from recycled and natural materials, seamlessly blending creativity with environmental consciousness.
Posters around the venue conveyed powerful messages on environmental conservation, renewable energy, and the imperative to reduce our carbon footprint. These visual aids were both informative and thought-provoking, urging viewers to adopt sustainable lifestyles.
The exhibition was a resounding success, offering an educational and inspiring experience that highlighted the critical importance of sustainability in our lives.

English Debate Competition on "The Effects of Festivals on Our Rivers"

To generate awareness among students about the devastating impact of festivals on our rivers, Sachdeva Public School, Pitampura organised an English debate competition on the topic "The Effects of Festivals on Our Rivers."
The competition saw enthusiastic participation from students of classes 9-10, who presented thought-provoking arguments for and against the motion. The debaters highlighted the alarming levels of pollution, toxic chemicals, and plastic waste that flood our rivers during festivals, harming aquatic life and contaminating water.
The speakers emphasised the need for sustainable practices, eco-friendly alternatives, and community involvement to mitigate the harmful effects. They also discussed successful initiatives and innovative solutions for responsible celebrations.
The judges praised the participants for their well-researched arguments, articulate presentations, and passionate delivery. The winners convincingly argued that festivals can be celebrated without harming our rivers, emphasising the importance of individual responsibility and collective action.
The event concluded with a call to action, urging students to spread awareness about the importance of river conservation and promote eco-friendly celebrations in their communities.

Diwali Craft Competition (Classes lll- V)

'Let us ignite the spirit of unity and togetherness, this Diwali.'
A vibrant and engaging Diwali Craft Competition was organised for the students of classes III- V. The competition aimed to celebrate the spirit of Diwali, allowing students to showcase their creativity and craftsmanship. This annual event aimed to bring students together, allowing them to express their cultural values and artistic talents through Diwali-themed crafts. Students enthusiastically participated, creating beautiful lanterns, wall hangings, leaf- hangings , Ganesha temples, rangolis and bandhanwars reflecting the traditional and festive essence of Diwali.
Each participant displayed immense talent, with many crafts incorporating eco-friendly materials, which highlighted the importance of celebrating Diwali in an environmentally conscious way.
The event concluded with the Principal, Ms Mona Rastogi appreciating the students’ efforts and creativity, emphasizing the significance of such competitions in promoting cultural awareness and artistic skills among young learners. The Diwali Craft Competition was a memorable and joyful experience, spreading festive cheer across the school.

Cooking Without Fire (Classes III-V)

'Cooking is about the joy of creating exploring and testing the magic of flavours'
The children of lll-V donned their 'Chef Caps' to showcase their culinary skills in the 'Cooking without Fire Competition which helped them create, explore and taste the myriad of flavours without worry.
It was conducted with an aim to create awareness about nutritious and healthy cooking and promoting hygiene and safety.
The students prepared simple, healthy dishes using fresh fruits, vegetables, sprouts and other healthy options. Recipes included Canapes Chaat, Sprouts Salads, Club Sandwich, Chatpata Protein Salad, Veggie Wraps and Healthy Nutella Sandwich. The children participated with full zeal and enthusiasm. The scrumptious delicacies were served in an artistic way which was a treat to the eyes.
The teachers provided guidance and support, fostering a collaborative atmosphere. The best entries were rewarded.
Our Principal Ma'am Ms. Mona Rastogi appreciated the 'Young Chefs' for their creativity, innovation and delectable delicacies.
The competition was a huge success with students gaining confidence in learning more about sustainable cooking practices and healthy conscious choices.

The Mathematical Quiz was a successful event and achieved its objectives of promoting mathematical excellence and enhancing problem-solving abilities. The quiz not only highlighted the strengths of the participants but also identified areas where improvement is needed, such as time management during complex problems. DUSSEHRA CELEBRATION CLASSES I AND II

Dussehra, a festival that symbolizes the victory of good over evil, was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Sachdeva Public School. It marks the triumph of Lord Ram over the demon king Ravan, signifying the power of truth and righteousness.
The students of classes I and II showcased a wonderful performance of the Ramlila in the school. The young performers brought to life the iconic characters of Shree Ram, Sita Mata, Laxman, and other family members with great enthusiasm and creativity. The play featured significant scenes from the Ramayana, including the birth of Shree Ram, the time spent in Gurukul, Sita Mata’s Swayamvar, and their 14 years of exile. The audience witnessed key moments like the cutting of Shurpanakha’s nose, Sita Haran, Hanuman's meeting with Sita, the formation of the Ram Setu, and the final battle leading to Ravan’s death.
Through this performance, the children learnt valuable lessons about ethics, the importance of staying true to themselves, and fighting for what is right. Each scene was beautifully enacted, reflecting the students' understanding of the deeper values of the Ramayana.
Principal Ma’am appreciated the impeccable arrangements made for the event and lauded the students' dedication, enthusiasm, and creative talents. She praised the hard work of the students in bringing such a cultural and educational experience to life. The Ramlila not only entertained but also imparted meaningful life lessons to all the students.

Swachhata Pakhwada (Classes III-V)

Swachhata Pakhwada is an initiative of the government which aims to raise awareness about cleanliness and sanitation across the country. In line with this mission, classes 3 to 5 organised a special assembly to sensitize the children about cleanliness, hygiene and the crucial role of all the people who help in maintaining a cleaner society. The assembly included dance drama and songs on the theme of cleanliness and created a lasting impression on the students’ mind and inspired them. Our honourable Principal ma’am Ms. Mona Rastogi, along with teachers and students formed a human chain to visually represent collective unity for a common goal that is cleanliness of school, city and nation at large. ‘Swabhaav Swachhta, Sanskar Swachhta’, theme of this abhiyaan was emphasized and repeated by all the students. It highlighted the importance of inner purity and moral clarity as essential forms of cleanliness to cultivate positive habits and values. The ‘Cleanliness Pledge’ was administered by the respected principal ma’am to the students. She urged them to take responsibility for their surroundings and contribute towards a cleaner and healthier India. The assembly concluded with a vote of thanks to the community workers. The students gave beautiful ‘Thank You Cards’ to the workers to show their gratitude and appreciation for their unrelented support and work towards keeping the school clean. It was a small but powerful gesture that reminded everyone of the positive impact of showing empathy.
A tree plantation drive, ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ was also organised for the students to make them aware about the benefits of trees. This drive was not just an event but a meaningful step towards nurturing the environment and educating future generations about the importance of sustainable practices.
The event fostered a sense of community participation and environmental stewardship, reinforcing the message of ‘Swachh Bharat.’

The National Youth Parliament program offers young people a platform to engage in parliamentary-style debates, discussions, and decision-making processes. Designed to replicate the workings of an actual parliament, the program helps youth develop leadership skills, civic awareness, and a deeper understanding of democratic principles. Introduced by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, it aims to strengthen the foundations of democracy and impart knowledge of parliamentary procedures to the younger generation.
The 2024-2025 Mock Youth Parliamentary Session was a tremendous success, with 54 students from classes IX to XII actively participating under the “National Youth Parliament Scheme” on 31st August 2024. The agenda for the discussion was “Viksit Bharat: Youth Leadership for a Global Vishwaguru by 2047.”
The event commenced with an inspiring inaugural address by the Hon’ble Principal, Ms. Mona Rastogi. In this parliamentary session, students assumed the roles of various ministers and engaged in spirited debates on parliamentary affairs. They presented passionate arguments on the topic and gained valuable insights into the workings of the Lower House of Parliament.
Participants were appraised for their outstanding contributions and were awarded certificates for Best Speaker, Reporter, Caricaturist, and Excellence in Script Writing and Organizational Skills. The session was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impact on all involved.

Excursion to Smaaash Class 5

The students of class 5 had a thrilling day out at Smaaash, where they engaged in a variety of exciting activities, including bowling, arcade games, and virtual reality experiences.
The students had a blast bowling, competing against each other to see who could knock down the most pins. Some students were natural bowlers, while others discovered their competitive spirit through the game. The friendly atmosphere and laughter filled the bowling alley, creating a memorable experience for all. The arcade games were a huge hit with the students. From classic favourites like Pac-Man and Air Hockey to modern-day favourites like racing games and shooting games, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The students cheered each other on as they tried to achieve high scores.
The virtual reality experiences were a highlight of the day. The students were immersed in a variety of virtual worlds, from dinosaur park adventures to thrilling adrenaline pumping roller coaster rides. The VR headsets provided a truly immersive experience, allowing the students to feel like they were part of the action.
The students enjoyed two delicious meals during their visit to Smaaash. Breakfast provided them with the energy to start their day, while lunch refuelled them after a morning of fun and games. The variety of food options ensured that everyone could find something to their liking.
The day at Smaaash provided a wonderful opportunity for the students to bond with each other outside of the classroom. They shared laughter, stories, and experiences, creating lasting memories. The shared excitement of the games and the camaraderie among the students made for a truly enjoyable day.
The fifth-graders had a fantastic time at Smaaash. The visit provided a unique and exciting opportunity for the students to bond with their classmates, learn new skills, and have fun. The positive atmosphere and friendly staff at Smaaash contributed to a memorable experience for all.The combination of games, bonding experiences, and delicious food made for a perfect day out.

EXCURSION TO KIDZANIA (CLASSES 3 AND 4)

On 27th August, the students of Class 3 and 4 embarked on an exciting educational adventure to Kidzania, a unique indoor theme park that combines fun with learning. The visit provided the young learners with an opportunity to explore various professions in a child-sized city, allowing them to gain practical insights into the world of work.
The day was filled with enthusiasm as the students immersed themselves in various role-playing activities. From being firefighters and doctors to pilots and chefs, the children had the chance to step into the shoes of professionals and understand the responsibilities and challenges associated with these roles. Each activity was designed to educate them about different aspects of society, economics, and teamwork.
The visit was not only about learning new skills but also about developing important life values. The students demonstrated cooperation, creativity, and problem-solving abilities as they worked together in their respective roles. The experience also encouraged them to think critically and make informed decisions, which are essential skills in their academic and personal lives.

The monsoon season brings a sense of joy and relief from the scorching heat of the summer month. To celebrate this magical season of the year, Sachdeva Public School, organized “Monsoon Bash”. Students of classes I and II were delighted in a joyful Rain Dance event, embracing the monsoon season with unity and enthusiasm. Gentle rain showers and lively music created a magical atmosphere. Students danced on foot tapping tunes under the open sky. Laughter and cheerful shouts echoed across the playground. The tiny tots looked enthusiastic in their attire holding colourful garlands, tiaras and sun glasses. They brought mouth watering food delicacies which are always enjoyed during the rainy season, such as- pakodas, french fries etc. This event fostered a deep connection with nature, leaving everyone with cherished memories. It was indeed a fun-filled day, full of colours, enthusiasm and exuberance.

JANMASHTAMI Classes I And II

Janmashtami is a festival to celebrate the birth of lord Krishna, who is a beloved diety. This festival brings devotion, enjoyment and fun all together. It was celebrated at GP block with great fervor and gaiety. The children were dressed up as Lord Krishna, Radha, Sudama , gopikas and gwalas. The celebration included colourful decorations along with compering, enactment and dance performance. Students beautifully depicted Bal Leelas of Shri Krishna in the form of tableaus. Principal ma’am appreciated the efforts of tiny tots on this auspicious day. Rocking Little Kanha’s cradle and offering prasad by the Principal ma’am was the best part of the event to wrap up the surroundings with positive vibes. In the classrooms, students also enjoyed colouring the Janmashtami sheet and decorating the flute. It was a delightful, divine journey for the students. They went home singing "हाथी घोड़ा पालकी, जय कन्हैया लालकी !!" Such celebrations bring children closer to their culture and heritage.

The Principal's gentle rocking of the cradle of Bal Gopal added sparkle to the festivities. The children's joyous shouts of 'Hathi Ghoda Palki' and 'Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki' created a symphony of delight, making the occasion truly unforgettable.
In this celebration of Janmashtami, our kindergarten school became a veritable Vrindavan, where the love and devotion of the children for Lord Krishna knew no bounds.

The children crafted vibrant rakhis, adorned with colorful embellishments. With love and affection, the girls tied these rakhis onto the boys' wrists, signifying the enduring bond between siblings.
In all, the festival was filled with happiness and joy, as the children revelled in the celebration.It was a heartwarming experience, fostering a sense of togetherness and affection among the children.

The school celebrated its 39th Founder’s Day on 14 August 2024 with deep national and cultural pride. The event commenced with an inspiring speech by the esteemed Chairman, Sh. S.K. Sachdeva, whose words stirred a profound sense of patriotism and unity among the students. He then unfurled the national flag, followed by a resonant rendition of the national anthem that truly captured the spirit of the occasion.
The program, centered around the theme of Importance of Guidance and Counseling, featured a thought-provoking street play which explored the challenges faced by today’s youth. It highlighted the indispensable role of guidance in helping them navigate life's complexities. This was followed by captivating dance performances that vividly portrayed the legacies of revered Indian leaders like Krishna, Guru Nanak Dev ji, Gandhi ji, and Shivaji, showcasing the significant impact of their teachings and the importance of mentorship.
The celebration concluded with the dignitaries releasing tri-coloured balloons, which symbolized the vibrant spirit of the nation and left a lasting impression on the audience, underscoring the enduring importance of guidance in shaping a brighter future. Celebrating Freedom: Independence Day 2024 and Founder’s Day Classes I & II

India celebrates its Independence Day on August 15 every year. After two centuries of being ruled by the British, the country gained independence on August 15, 1947. The day marks the start of an independent nation, devoid of foreign rule. The freedom fighters of the country laid their lives to give us the independence that we enjoy today.
The National festivals help to bring in a sense of patriotism in students, so the 78th Independence Day celebration at Sachdeva Public School was truly a remarkable event filled with patriotic fervour and zeal. Thousands of swirling "Tirangas" highlighting symbolic commitment to our motherland, were so lovingly held by the students of classes I and II across the length and breadth of the school campus.
The celebration started with the flag hoisting by our esteemed Principal Ma’am followed by the National Anthem which resonate the proud patriotic passion of all. After this our youngsters presented various patriotic and religious dances which showcase National Integration - the theme of our function.
Such celebrations help the new generation to understand the sacrifice made and hardships faced by patriots to get our country free.
This day is also very special because we celebrate Founder’s Day of our school.
So, our munchkins along with Principal Ma’am cut the cake and this joyous event marked the special occasion.
As we celebrated these two momentous occasions, Principal Ma’am addressed the little ones with her words of wisdom.

The Nursery Wing of the school celebrated India's 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The event was a testament to the spirit of freedom and unity, as our tiny tots and the teachers came together to commemorate this momentous occasion.
The celebration began with the unfurling of the national flag by our esteemed Principal ma'am Ms.Mona Rastogi.

The boys transformed plain envelopes into miniature works of art, employing a variety of techniques and materials. From delicate paper cuttings and paintings to embellishments with sequins and ribbons, the envelopes were a reflection of the students' imagination and attention to detail. The gift wrapping segment was a testament to the students' creativity and practicality. The students of classes 3 to 5 observed a ‘Week on Moral Values’ through a series of engaging activities. The week commenced with a special assembly where students performed a skit to spread the message of essential values such as honesty, kindness, compassion, gratitude, empathy, humility, perseverance and helping others. The students delivered compelling performance with strong emotional depth demonstrating remarkable versatility. The skit captivated the audience and emphasized the significance of these virtues in daily life.
In addition to the assembly, an art activity was organized where the students created beautiful bookmarks, wrote inspiring quotes and slogans promoting moral values. This creative exercise allowed students to express their understanding and commitment to these principles artistically. Icing on the cake were the videos shown to the students which cleverly wove the world of fractions and importance of bills with the real- life challenges of resisting temptations. Through the characters' journey, the students learned valuable lessons about the importance of honesty and integrity and reiterated their knowledge about fractions and bills in daily life.
To further reinforce the theme, a thought-provoking movie was screened for the students, illustrating the impact of moral values in various life situations. The week concluded with an exciting quiz, testing the students' knowledge and understanding of the values discussed throughout the week.

Whether it’s the aerodynamics of the shuttle cock, or the projectile motion of the cricket ball, Physics is the enchanting force that breathes life into the realm of sports, infusing it with a spellbinding charm that captivates both participants and spectators.
Keeping this in mind, a Physics symposium was conducted by the students of class 11 on 23 July 2024 in the school.
The presentation began with an overview of key concepts such as force, motion, energy, centre of mass, angular momentum, and aerodynamics, demonstrating how they apply to various sports like cricket, football, swimming, archery, weightlifting, gymnastics etc. through engaging visuals and practical examples. On 20 July 2024, our school hosted the highly anticipated annual art and craft exhibition ‘Aesthetica - Celebrating Creativity’ showcasing the incredible talent and creativity of students from classes 3 to 5. The theme "Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 11, 14, and 15," inspired a diverse array of artworks that emphasized sustainable cities, life below water, and life on land.
Students from class 3 dazzled visitors with their vibrant aquatic-themed creations. Their exhibits included tank aquarium,bottle aquarium,jar aquarium , stingray, mermaid, turtle etc. Class 4 students focused on depicting diverse ecosystem and wildlife. Their projects included mountains, animals,trees and farmland.Students from class 5 presented innovative models reflecting sustainable urban development. Their exhibits featured sustainable cities, footover bridges, hospitals and schools.
One of the exhibition's standout attraction was a meticulously crafted scene of the ‘Andaman and Nicobar Islands’. This corner showcased the region's unique culture and biodiversity, featuring clay jewellery brochures and posters.
The most engaging section of the exhibition was the DIY corner, where students demonstrated how to make incense sticks. Using natural ingredients like essential oils, dried flowers, and herbs, they explained each step of the process.They even showed how to grow organic greens and make bottle planters.Visitors were fascinated by the simplicity and eco-friendliness of the method, gaining a new appreciation for homemade, sustainable products. The visitors and the students alike took a pledge to bring small changes in their life style to make big difference for the planet Earth.

Summer holidays provide an opportunity for students to engage in independent learning and indulge in skill improvement activities. Some amazing and varied craft work was given to students to enhance their motor skills, creativity, imagination, teamwork and problem solving abilities. To showcase their hardwork, Sachdeva Public School organized Annual Exhibition in GP Block. The theme for the exhibition was – “Splash of Joys”.
The whole school was transformed into the seven colours of the rainbow. The grand event was inaugurated with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by our respected Principal Ma’am. The lamp lighting was followed by mesmerizing dance performed by the tiny tots of Classes 1 and 2. The children wore colourful attires and spread the message of love and harmony through their dance performance.
Each and every room depicted a specific colour related craft work. The rooms looked vibrant and lively featuring colourful objects like the Sun, clouds, umbrellas, flowers, caps, butterflies, bird nests, trees etc. The children also explained the importance of different colours and the making of the craft items to Principal Ma’am.
Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat was also the part of the exhibition. Colourful posters on animals, flowers and food of Andaman and Nicobar and Lakshadweep Islands were displayed.
The parents and children were exhilarated to see the vibrant and captivating display of the craft work. Principal Ma'am applauded and appreciated children for their hard work and creativity. Overall the exhibition was a great success.

Just before the kids are ready for their summer break in Sachdeva Public School, the little ones of classes I and II had a wonderful week celebrating the joys of summer. Each day was filled with exciting activities that brought smiles to everyone's faces.
Ice Cream Day:
The festivities began with the Ice Cream Day. The thought of ice cream in the school takes a child to the top of the excitement. The children gathered around the vendor inside the school walls and enjoyed their favourite yummy ice cream along with colouring pictures of yummy ice cream. It was a sweet way to kick start the summer celebration!
Mango Day:
Following that was Mango Day. The kids brought in mangoes from home to share with their friends. They relished the juicy fruit and colouring pictures of mangoes added to the fun of the day. Every heart filled with sweet fragrance of king of fruits was spreading happiness in the air.
Summer Cooler Drink:
Then came Summer Cooler Drink Day, where everyone brought their own refreshing drinks to school. From lemonades to fruit punches, they sipped on their cool beverages while colouring pictures of icy drinks and enjoying the coolness on a hot day.
Melon Day:
The final day was Melon Day. The children brought in watermelons and melons and had a delightful feast together. With sticky hands and happy faces, they coloured pictures of watermelons, wrapping up their summer celebration with lots of fun.

Next, students with special needs (CWSN) and their peers came together to participate in an Inclusivity Pledge Activity. During this session, students learned about the importance of inclusion and pledged to support it, emphasizing our school's commitment to fostering a supportive and accepting environment.
Subsequently, a Slogan and Poster-Making Competition took place, where students showcased their creativity and passion for awareness. Through inspiring slogans and posters, they highlighted important days such as World Autism Day, World Parkinson’s Day, and World Hemophilia Day, sparking meaningful conversations and raising awareness about these significant topics.

They discussed the definition of waste, its adverse impact on the environment, and various strategies to mitigate waste generation.
As a symbol of collaboration and environmental awareness, students from both schools engaged in a colouring activity, depicting a frog, a protected species in Taiwan. To highlight the significance of the day, Earth Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm by students of classes I & II on 22nd April 2024. To begin the celebration, our honourable Principal Ma'am planted a sapling in the school garden along with the young and energetic students of the school. In continuation, the little ones showcased their affection for Mother Earth by holding the fascinating banners having the informative and catchy slogans on our green planet and how to save it. A special assembly was also held in which the toddlers shared their thoughts about the beautiful planet in the form of quotes. The little brigadiers also recited and enacted a poem with painted facial expressions to spread awareness on how to make our Earth liveable. To enhance the beauty of nature, they wore the headgears of Mother Earth, charismatic flowers and evergreen trees. Their dedication was truly admirable and efforts were praiseworthy. BAISAKHI CELEBRATION CLASSES I & II

Festivals promote diversity, they increase creativity and offer opportunities for civic pride. Baisakhi- the harvest festival of India denotes new beginning, renewed spirits and abundant happiness. It is the season of hope, positivity and joy. It marks the foundation of “Khalsa Panth” under Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and is also the start of New Sikh year. To begin the new session with full fervour classes I and II celebrated Baisakhi with great zeal. The little ones who were beautifully dressed up in Punjabi attire of vibrant colours exchanged Baisakhi wishes with our esteemed Principal Ma'am, teachers and their friends. The festivity began with prayer, English and Hindi thoughts of the day, lines and poems on Baisakhi followed by mesmerising Punjabi dance on rhythmic beats of dhol which reverberated all around. In between the dance, a scene of fair was also depicted by the young ones which fabricated the Punjabi culture. The magnificent school building was beautified and embellished with several multicoloured buntings. Children also brought the festive food to celebrate the auspicious day. Such celebrations embrace the traditions by spreading love, everlasting joy and celebrating unforgettable memories

The Primary Wing of our school organized a Music Competition on 29 April 2024. It was a celebration of talent and environmental consciousness. Students of Classes III-V showcased their musical abilities while conveying messages of sustainability and environmental stewardship. The theme of the competition revolved around Earth Day, focusing on topics such as air, water and the beauty of nature. Participants delivered stellar performances, ranging from acoustic renditions of nature-inspired songs to original compositions addressing environmental challenges. Each performance was a testament to the participants' dedication and passion for both music and environmental advocacy. Through their lyrics, melodies, and choreography, participants inspired others to take action, adopt sustainable practices, and appreciate the Earth's beauty. The young participants were well appreciated and motivated by respected Principal Ma’am Mrs. Mona Rastogi, and were awarded certificates.
The music competition was a resounding success, blending artistic expression with environmental advocacy in a harmonious melody. It served as a reminder that music has the power to inspire positive change and unite communities in the shared goal of protecting our planet for future generations.

Inter-House Singing Competition VI to VIII

Keeping this in mind, an Inter-House Singing Competition was organized for the students of classes VI-VIII on April 26, 2024. The participants showcased their talent by singing beautiful folk songs that celebrated the diverse expressions of 'Shakti' from different states. It was a truly overwhelming experience to witness our exceptionally talented singers captivate the audience and set the stage ablaze with their melodious performances.
The students of Bose House secured the first position, displaying remarkable vocal prowess and stage presence. Tagore House secured the second position with their soulful renditions, while Gandhi House and Nehru House shared the third position, delivering captivating performances that left a lasting impression on the judges and audience alike. All participants were awarded certificates in recognition of their outstanding performances.
Our revered Principal ma’am congratulated the winners and participants for their dedication and enthusiasm, emphasizing the importance of such events in nurturing artistic talent and fostering a sense of camaraderie among students.

World Book Day, celebrated on 23 April, is a special day dedicated to books and authors. The day celebrates the essence of reading and the importance of books.
World Book Day involves various activities designed to promote reading and the cultural aspects of books.
With a view to emphasise its literary significance and to encourage everyone to explore the joys of reading, Sachdeva Public School organised an engaging ‘Story-Telling Session’ for the students of class III on Tuesday, 23 April 2024.
The students were captivated by the stories narrated by the teachers using live props and were actively involved in characterisation and enactment of these enchanting stories. Also, the children took pleasure in colouring their favourite story book characters, which turned out to be an exciting activity for them.
The celebrations fostered a love for literature among children, emphasising books’ role in advancing education, communication, and cultural understanding. The active participation of teachers and students alike, made the event even more memorable. The event of ‘Story-Telling Session’ made an everlasting impact on the children’s mind and paved way for their creative talent and reading ventures. It proved to be a fulfilling day and the students were inspired to take up reading as a passion and cultivate good reading habits for life.

On 22 April 2024, the students of Classes 3 to 5 came together in a special assembly to celebrate Earth Day, an occasion to reflect on our planet's beauty and the importance of environmental conservation. The assembly commenced with a warm welcome extended to Principal Ma'am, who was greeted with gratitude and presented with a token of appreciation for her dedication to environmental initiatives within the school.
The highlight of the assembly was a thought-provoking skit presented by the students, comparing the Earth of the 80s to the Earth of the future. Through this insightful performance, the students shed light on the impact of human activities on the environment and the subsequent consequences for future generations. The skit served as a powerful reminder of the urgent need for sustainable practices and responsible stewardship of our planet.
Following the skit, the students showcased the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), emphasizing the importance of collective action towards addressing pressing environmental and social issues. The display of SDGs provided a glimpse into the global efforts aimed at achieving a sustainable future for all.
A captivating dance performance by the students highlighted the significance of conservation and the urgency of taking action to preserve our precious planet. Through graceful movements and expressive gestures, they conveyed the message of collective responsibility towards Earth's preservation.
In addition to their performances, the students demonstrated their commitment to environmental conservation by planting saplings at home. These plants were proudly displayed during the assembly, symbolizing the students' dedication to nurturing and preserving the natural world around them.
Adding a touch of creativity and activism, students crafted badges adorned with messages promoting environmental consciousness, which they proudly pinned on their uniform serving as ambassadors for Earth's well-being.
As the assembly drew to a close, Principal Ma'am, Mrs Mona Rastogi expressed her appreciation for the students' efforts in organizing a meaningful Earth Day celebration. Handwriting Week Classes III-V

“Handwriting determines your dream, how beautiful your dream is, so is your handwriting.”
Handwriting is a foundational skill for students that supports literacy, reading and language acquisition. It encourages them to develop fine motor skills and confidence. It activates the neurological development and contributes to reading fluency. It is an important way for them to communicate their thoughts and ideas. Writing neatly helps to develop fine motor skills and concentration. It also helps to improve memory and creativity.
Keeping this view in mind ‘Handwriting Week’ was organized for the students of classes 3 to 5 from 9 April to 15 April 2024. It provided students an opportunity to display their competency in legible handwriting. The young learners were motivated to put their best foot forward by doing their classwork neatly and correctly in different subjects. They participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. A ‘Calligraphy Competition’ was organized to culminate the week. Students were judged on the basis of neatness, clarity, spacing between words, consistency of the size of letters and legibility of their work. The best entries were appreciated and were given certificates. The competition was a great success and it helped in inculcating the habit of good handwriting among the students.
Principal, Ms Mona Rastogi applauded the efforts of the students and urged them to write neatly and correctly at all times.

As the children embarked on a new journey of formal learning, our loving lncharge ma'am Ms. Neeta Kumar warmly welcomed the children by her sweet gesture of showering love on them.The little ones were ushered into the beautifully decorated classes where the teacher's warm smile reassured hesitant little ones, gently settling them in their new environment by engaging them fun filled activities .Slowly tears turned to giggles and apprehension transformed into curiosity. By day's end, friendships blossomed, and each child's face began to radiate with endless happiness. The nursery school's journey had begun, filled with wonder, growth and new experiences.

To hone the dancing skills of students of classes 3-5 Inter House Dance Competition' was organised on 22nd February with the theme 'Myriad Hues of Indian Mythology'. A fun-filled extravaganza of dance was showcased which connected the past with present, tradition with innovation and spirituality with artistry.
Participants of the four houses enthralled the audience with their mesmerizing movements of dance and depicted the stories of Gods and Goddesses through different dance forms like Maharas -a spiritual dance where Lord Krishna replicates himself and performs with Gopies in the forest of Vrindavan.
Ancient dance of Tamil Nadu Kavaddi Attam and Karagattam were performed in praise of Rain Goddess Mariamman where the performers wore attractive head gears. A spiritual dance form that showcased the divine union of Shiv Parvati from Shiv Purana was also presented. The dancers seeked the blessings of Maa Bhavani with Gondhal dance of Maharashtra. The young dancers captivated the heart of spectators with the brilliance of their talent.
Respected Principal Mrs. Mona Rastogi appreciated the performance of proficient dancers and stated that in Indian mythology dance is not just a way of artistic expression, it also plays an important role in preserving cultural existence.

Through captivating performances, the young actors conveyed the urgent message of environmental conservation and the significance of maintaining a clean and green planet. The play eloquently highlighted various methods to achieve this noble goal, inspiring the audience to embrace eco-friendly practices in their daily lives. Following the impactful presentation of ‘The Earth Day Carol’, the spotlight shifted to the enchanting tale of ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’. The timeless story came to life through the earnest portrayal of characters, eliciting laughter, awe, and moments of reflection among the spectators. Amidst the magic and wonder of the performance, the underlying message of kindness, resilience, and the triumph of good over evil resonated profoundly with the audience.

The students from all four houses poured their hearts out through the enchanting rendition of patriotic songs. With each note and melody, they showcased their love and devotion for our country.The air was filled with melodies that stirred emotions and ignited a sense of pride in our cultural heritage. Each house exhibited creativity and teamwork, demonstrating the power of music to unite and inspire.The judges, impressed by the talent and enthusiasm displayed by the participants, faced a challenging task in selecting the winners.The winners were a. warded certificates for their outstanding performances, recognizing their dedication and commitment to spreading the essence of patriotism through music.

“Sports has the power to change the world-“Nelson Mandela. Sports is an important field for the holistic development of the child in this age of gadgets and technology. Sports day in school is a very exciting and happy day that every student looks forward to. It helps to showcase athletic abilities in front of an enthusiastic audience. This special day was hosted in the school ground for classes I and II. The event was named UDAAN 2024 and our students always aspire to touch heights in each field of life. The ground looked vibrant with tracks made of white chalk, colourful props and display boards. The young sports stars dressed up in blues and reds took part in the event with full zest and zeal. They were enthused to show their physical strength and win the medals.
Principal Ma’am energised the participants with her motivational words. She lighted the lamp and declared the meet open.
Oath ceremony was also initiated by Respected Principal Ma’am which gives strength to the athletes to show sportman spirit and accept the result supportively.
The mascot Mickey Mouse was there to encourage and inspire the participants and the audience too. The audience was also found thrilled. They transferred their vigour and passion to their young peers competing in the ground by shouting out their names.
Different races were planned for both the boys and the girls separately. Some of them were with attractive titles and suitable props – like Relay Race with the names – Run to reach the Moon,
Run for Fit India. Shuttle race with the name Conical Cones, Pyramid with glasses with the name Building up Towers, Chasing the Flowers, Obstacle Races etc.
Everyone participated with full fervour.The well-deserved appreciation in the form of medals was awarded by Principal Ma’am. She congratulated the winners and motivated the non-winners. By releasing the balloons, she declared the meet closed. It was a fun filled day for the students and the teachers of classes I and II.

The atmosphere radiated with excitement as the torch was lit, marking the beginning of a day filled with sportsmanship and companionship. Students showcased their strength and agility through a series of dumbbell exercises, demonstrating their dedication to fitness and discipline.
The highlight of the event was the March past, where participants from various races paraded with pride and resolution. The solemn administering of the oath reaffirmed the commitment of each participant to fair play and sportsmanship.The track came alive with the thrill of competition as students competed in different races, pushing their limits and striving for victory.The students, adorned as lively mascots, added a delightful touch of exuberance to the spirited races, leaving an indelible mark on the spectators' hearts.Cheers and encouragement resonated throughout the ground as spectators cheered for the participants. As the races concluded, the winners were honoured with medals, acknowledging their outstanding performance and grittiness. The gleaming medals adorning the winners' chests served as tokens of their hard work and dedication, inspiring peers to strive for greatness.
The event culminated with the release of balloons and banner into the sky by Principal Ma'am,Mrs.Mona Rastogi , signifying the closure of the Meet and the soaring aspirations of the participants. She appreciated the efforts and achievements of all the participants and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence both on and off the field.

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION-CLASSES I & II

Republic Day symbolizes the collective dreams and aspirations of billions of hearts for a better future and celebration of democratic values and constitutional principles.
The auspicious day of 26th January was celebrated in Sachdeva Public School by classes I and II. To mark the beginning of the celebration our esteemed Principal Ma’am Mrs. Mona Rastogi unfurled the National Flag to honour the nation and its values and to commemorate the achievements and aspirations of the country. The children paid homage to the National Flag by singing National Anthem, a powerful expression of unity and patriotism. They also enacted as freedom fighters of our glorious nation who sacrificed their lives and guided us to peace and prosperity so that we can hold our heads high. A mesmerizing scene depicting Gandhiji and his followers was also the part of the festival. Gandhiji’s favourite bhajan ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’ was also recited which filled everyone’s heart with patriotic vibes. The festivity continued with melodious medley of patriotic songs. This year the theme of celebration was to showcase the comparison of ancient India to modern India, its achievements, women empowerment, Indian culture and the world wide celebration of Ram Temple consecration. The little kids danced to the rhythmic beats of songs like Desh Rangeela, India Jeetega, Ek Jindari, Suno Gaur Se amd Ram Siya Ram. Their graceful and synchronized performance was not simply a dance but a heart stirring testament of patriotism that transcends the choreography. It was a vibrant canvas of emotions and expressions. The whole building was also beautified with festoons and balloons of tricolour and several flags which adorned the building.
The celebration culminated with a blistering sound of applause and motivational words by Principal Ma’am inspiring the children to be better citizens and contribute positively to our great nation.
Let us not forget the rich heritage of our country and feel proud to be a part of this nation.

To ignite curiosity, foster a sense of belonging, instill values of reverence and promote cultural identity and empathy , a spiritual fiesta was organised in the school, celebrating Lord Ram's Pran Pratishtha in Ayodhya.The children gracefully danced on melodious bhajans to welcome Lord Ram to Ayodhya,creating a spiritual aura in the school. ln all, the celebration fostered a deeper appreciation for India's cultural heritage among nursery students.
