ADMISSION CRITERIA AND SCHEDULE OF BALVATIKA-1/NURSERY FOR ACADEMIC SESSION : 2026-27
In pursuance to the Director of Education, Govt. of NCT of Delhi order F.DE/15(172)/PSB/2016/9179-9188 dated 22.11.2025 the following criteria have been laid down for admission to Balvatika-1/Nursery in the school for the year 2026-27.
1. Seats Available:
Seats available in Balvatika-1/Nursery = 160
2. Category Wise Seat Distribution:
a) E.W.S / D.G./ CWSN Category = 40
25% of the seats are to be filled from candidates belonging to the E.W.S. Category/ CWSN/ Disadvantaged group/Orphans who are eligible as per conditions laid down in Govt. Notification no.15(172)/DE/Act/2010/69 dated 07.01.2011 and subsequent orders.
(Admissions in this category shall be done based on computerized draw to be conducted by DOE and sponsored to the school)
b) General (Open) Seats = 120
75% of the seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the General Category/ Management Discretionary Group under the school specific criteria.
Management Quota 20% = 32
Seats to be filled at the discretion of the management
General Category (Open) Seats = 88
The remaining seats which are not covered under above categories shall be filled on 100-point scale based on school specific criteria without any discrimination of Caste / Religion / Region etc.
3. School Specific Criteria (General Seats)
The School specific admission criteria have been devised on a 100-point scale to be distributed as under

Siblings/ Staff wards - 30 Points
Candidates whose real sister or brother is a student of this school or wards of the employees of SPS, Maurya Enclave, Pitampura only
3.1 In case of Neighbourhood , the applications must be accompanied by google map showing the road distance from their residence to the school. Points would be given according to the defined number of kilometers in the applicable range.
3.2 In case of siblings, the application must be accompanied by a self-attested photocopy of the latest fee payment receipt (Oct 2025 - Dec 2025) of the sibling students indicating the admission number and both sides of the ID card.
3.3 In case of staff ward, the application must be accompanied by a self-attested photocopy of the ID card (both sides) of the staff member.
3.4 Selection of Candidates for admission in Balvatika-1/Nursery class during the session 2026-2027
- i.) School follows the 100-point scale system.
- ii.) Out of the total applications from the Neighbourhood range and Sibling Criteria/Staff Wards, admission would be first offered to the candidates attaining maximum points.
- iii.) If the application forms attaining similar points are more than the seats of general category, the draw of lots shall be conducted to admit the students against the number of available seats on first-come-first-served basis till the seats are filled. The date of the draw would be intimated through School Notice Board and Website also.
- iv.) If vacancies remain unfilled after exhausting the applications from the first lot of maximum scorers, the applications from the next lot of maximum scorers shall
be considered in the above manner.
EWS & DG Category
The school shall not process the admission of EWS/DG Category students. The D.O.E. will process the applications online for admission in schools as per the
guidelines.
Management Quota
The seats under management quota shall be filled at the discretion of management.
4. Age
As per D.O.E. order the child should be at least three (03) years old as on 31st March of the year for admission in Balvatika-1/Nursery. However, the child must be less than 04 years old as on 31st March 2026.This includes all the
children born between 01.04.2022 & 31.03.2023. Age relaxation of upto 30 days may be provided under the existing rules for which a request in the manual application would need to be made to the Principal.
5. Registration
The process of Nursery Registration will be conducted both via online and offline modes.
For OFF-LINE Registration: Standardized registration application forms shall be available at the Fee Counter of the school on all working days from Thursday, 4th December 2025 to Saturday, 27th December 2025 between 8:30 A.M to 12:30 P.M on payment of Rs.25/- only.
The filled in applications should be deposited at the Administrative Office of the school between 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on all working days. The last date for deposit of application application for registration shall be 27th December 2025 up to 2.00 P.M.
For ON-LINE Registration: Online Registration application form will be available on the school website. The direct link to apply online will be available in the Admission page of the school website from Thursday, 4th December 2025 to Saturday,27th December 2025 upto 11:59 P.M. Instructions and guidelines to fill the Online application available on the website should be carefully read and followed.
Documents Required at the time of Admission (original and self attested photocopy):
- 1. Birth certificate issued by the competent authority.
- 2. Any one of the following documents:
- Ration Card issued in the name of parents (Mother/father having name of child)
- Domicile certificate of child or of his/her parents.
- Voter I-Card (EPIC) of any of the parents.
- Electricity Bill/MTNL Bill/Water Bill/Passport in the name of any of the parents or child.
- 3. Aadhaar Card issued in the name of both the parents and child.
- 4. Identity Card of the staff member (both sides) for staff ward admission.
Latest fee receipt (Oct 2025 – Dec 2025) showing the admission number of the sibling and identity card (both sides) for consideration in the sibling category.
6. Admission :
The admission shall be made without any discrimination of caste/religion/region etc. by the admission committee under the Chairmanship of the Principal and assisted by the In-charge Balvatika-1/Nursery.
No interview or interaction shall be held with the candidates or parents.
