16th SOF National Cyber Olympiad

Pratik Anand of class XII-B got Zonal Rank of 1 in the National Cyber Olympiad. He was awarded a merit certificate and a gift certificate worth Rs. 5000.

 


Jr. NBA India Program

Our school is member of Jr.NBA India Program. 320 schools from Delhi-NCR region are member of this program. Under this program City Championship was organized in Bal Bharti School, Gangaram Road. Our school won “Best School for Basketball” trophy in this Championship.

National Cyber Olympiad-2016

Best Project School by TERI

The School has recently been recognized as one of the Best Project School by TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute), New Delhi. This recognition has been received for its active engagement in the areas of environmental conservation, preservation of flora and fauna, its initiatives in creating awareness in the community, contributing actively in energy conservation schemes and programmes and participation in the GREEN Olympiad conducted by TERI. Mrs. Mona Rastogi, Principal, congratulated the staff and students for their enthusiastic contribution in preserving our environment emphasizing on the impact that each one of us can have through our small endeavours.

 


Best Hygienic School of the Year Award

The School was awarded the ‘Best Hygienic School of the Year Award’ by National Institute of Cleanliness Education and Research (NICER), a division of Afro-Asian-American Chamber of Commerce, Occupational Research and Development (ACCORD).This award was given in recognition of the schools undaunting commitment towards maintaining cleanliness and hygiene not only within the school premises but also in the neighbouring community.  The felicitation was done in an award ceremony which was attended by many national and international dignitaries, diplomats, spiritual leaders and educationalists involved in the Mission Swachh Bharat.  Mrs. Mona Rastogi, Principal, congratulated the students and the staff for their zeal, commitment and wholehearted participation in making this mission a resounding success.

 


C.B.S.E. National Basket Ball Championship 2015-16

C.B.S.E.  National Basket Ball Championship 2015-16 was hosted by southpoint School, Sonepat, Haryana. Two top teams from each state and 10 teams from Gulf countries participated in this tournament. Our School’s girl basket ball team won the bronze medal.

CBSE Cluster XII Basket Ball Championship 2015-16 was hosted by Greenways Modern School, Dilshad Garden. 40 top teams from all over Delhi participated in this tournament. Our school’s girls basket ball team secured First Position by defeating Modern School, Barakhamba in final.

Science Projects bring laurels at Zonal Level

Every great advance in science has issued from a new audacity of imagination   – John Dewey

 It is a constant endeavour at Sachdeva Public School, Pitam Pura to develop the scientific temper and creativity of our students. The school participated at the Zonal Level Science Exhibition organized by the Science Centre, Department of Education, Delhi.  The three entries which were sent for the competition were appreciated for their innovative ideas and scientific approach.  The judges selected all the three entries for the next Centre level exhibition.  The exhibits were:- 

 *    ‘Eco friendly Woodwool Slabs’ prepared by Rhea Bhasin and Kirti Biyani of Class XI. 

*   ‘Organic Allout’ (Mosquito Repellents) by Anshika Mittal and Manokamna Sharma of Class IX. 

*     ‘Magnetic Revolution in Agriculture’ by Megha Singhal and Prerna Parmar of Class VIII. 

The school Principal Mrs. Mona Rastogi applauded the efforts of the students and motivated them for their future endeavours.

 

 

 


Itihaas Anveshan – 2015 ‘In Verse, phir se…….!’

The students of classes III – V brought laurels to school by winning the ‘Best Research Work – Runner’s up trophy at the National level.

The children participated in an All India competitive event – ‘In Verse, phir se…….!’ organized by an educational trust – Itihaas. They prepared an informative document based on their intensive research on ‘Harvest Festivals of India’ and composed a song. The lyrics were based on festivals, rituals, ceremonies – the science behind the traditions and a few intriguing legends.

The singing competition took place at two levels. The audience was overwhelmed by the stupendous performance at the Zonal level. The students performed exceedingly well at the Finals and won a trophy in the category ‘Best Research Work’.

 


14th SOF National Cyber Olympiad 2015 organized by Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF)

Ronak Sakhuja of class XII-B got an International Rank of 107 and Zonal Rank of 20 in the National Cyber Olympiad. He was awarded a merit certificate and a gift certificate worth Rs. 1000.

 

Dhruv Chawla of class VIII-B got an International Rank of 193 and Zonal Rank 16. He was awarded gifts worth Rs. 1000 consisting of foundation course of class VIII- Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics and also got a merit certificate.

 


Zonal Level CBSE Exhibition

Kirti Sharma and Ishaan Gupta of Class IX prepared a research based project on Bioplastics.  They exhibited their project at Zonal Level CBSE Exhibition.There were awarded a certificate and a trophy and were also selected for the central level.  The students tested the tensile strength of plastics and recorded their observations.It was very informative and a good learning experience for them.

Chess Competition

Dheriya Lamba of class IIIrd won 4th position in U-9 category at State Level Chess Competition at Dhyan Chand Stadium, 6th position in Open category at 6th Open Chess Championship at Institute of Technology and Science and 4th position in  U-8 category at Delhi Open chess Tournament at Dhyan Chand Stadium and won a trophy and Rs.800 cash.

 


Painting Competition

Alankriti Garg of Class VIII  won the consolation prize in the painting competition held at State Level Under National Campaign on Energy Conservation organized by Power Finance Corporation Ltd. She received a cash prize of Rs 3500/- along with a trophy,certificate and a gift hamper.

 

Alankriti Garg of Class VIII was one of the 18 winners of an All India ‘Hauslon ki Udaan’ Drawing Competition held in Mumbai.She represented Delhi in the episode of the serial telecasted on Colours channel on 15 Nov.

 


Art Competition

Energy Conservation

Dhwani Bhasin of Class V participated in poster making competition on Energy Conservation. Her poster was selected at the school level and she qualified for the painting competition at the state level. She received a trophy and a cash prize of Rs.1000/- at the state level.

 


Story Writing Competition

Jay Bansal of Class X had participated in the Story Writing Competition organized by KIIT International School at All India Level.  Jay Bansal’s story was selected and he was invited at KIIT School, Bhubneswar to attend the Children’s Literary Festival.  He met Ruskin Bond, the eminent English Author and interacted with him.It was a great experience for him.

 


Think and Learn Challenge 2014-15

Siddharth Dubey of Class X had successfully qualified for the City Finals of Times NIE ‘Think and Learn Challenge’ 2014-15. He has received a Tab for his excellent performance.

Itihaas Anveshan-2014 “In Verse”

 

The students of classes III-V, brought laurels to school by winning the ‘Runners up’ trophy at the National Level.

The Children participated in organised by an educational trust- Itihaas heritage event- ‘In verse-2014’.They prepared an informative document based on their intensive research on ‘Red Fort’ and composed a song.The lyrics were based on facts and anecdotes about the magnificent and iconic Red Fort.

The singing competition took place at two levels.The audience was overwhelmed by the stupendous performance at the zonals and qualified for the National level. They performed exceedingly well at the finals and won a trophy in the category ‘Song of the year’.

Senior girl’s basketball team of our school secured first position in zonal basketball tournament. In the semi final  sachdeva public school defeated Montfort school, Ashok Vihar. In final senior girls team of sachdeva public school pitampura defeated Bal bharti public school,Pitampura by 32-21.



Ping Pong Table Tennis Ranking Tournament

Rudraksh Gupta of class III-D secured First Position in under 8 boys and Third Position in under 10 boys in Ping Pong Table Tennis Ranking Tournament held at Tyagraj Stadium



Scholarship for Higher Education ( SHE )

Three students of our school have qualified for award of scholarship for Higher Education ( SHE ) under Innovation in science Pursuit for Inspired Research ( INSPIRE ) by virtue of performance within top 1 % of senior school certificate examination 2014. The students eligible for scholarship are:-

Winners of Victorian Sports Carnival Basket Ball Tournaments

The Girls Basketball Team of the School defeated Montfort School, Ashok Vihar by 33 – 31 in the final of Victorian Sports Carnival Basketball Tournament organized by National Victor School, I.P. Extension, Sakshi Takyar, Divya Dhawan and Rakshita Gupta brought laurels by scoring maximum baskets for the winning team.  Rakshita Gupta was adjudged the best player of the match. 

 


National Level Science Talent Search Examination - 2014

Aditya Gahlawat of class IX got second rank at the state level in NSTSE 2014 organised by Unified Council.

 


National Science Olympiad 2014

Lakshay Khurana of class XII-B got a state rank of 24 and international rank 219 in the National Science Olympiad organized by Science Olympiad foundation. He was awarded with Silver Medal, gifts worth Rs. 1,000/- consisting of DVD and subscription to Magazine "BBC Knowledge" and also a Merit certificate.

 


National French Olympiad

Divya Garg got the second prize at the Advance level of French Olympiad 2013 organized by Education & Beyond India Ltd and Langers in association with French (Embassy of India)

 


Runners up Basket Ball Trophy for Sachdeva Public School, Pitampura

 

Sub-junior girls Basket Ball team of Sachdeva Public School, Pitam Pura secured second position in the 1st Brother John Memorial Invitational Basket Ball Tournament held at Montfort School, Ashok Vihar. In Modern the final, Montfort School won the tournament. Sub-Junior Girls team reached in the final by defeating School, Barakhamba Road and D.P.S., R.K. Puram in the quarter and semi-final matches respectively. Kritika Dhingra was adjudged the best player of the tournament.
